Which crusher can mine gold?
There are many types of gold mining crusher. But there are actually no crushers specifically designed for gold mining. However, due to the effectiveness of certain types of crushers in crushing gold-bearing rocks and ores, we prefer using these crushers for gold mining.
The types of crusher for gold mining
- Jaw Crusher: We usually use jaw crusher as a primary crusher to reduce the size of large rocks and ores. We find gold usually found together with hard rock minerals like quartz and granite. Jaw crushers can quickly crush these hard rocks into smaller pieces, making it easier to extract the gold. In addition, we must pay attention to the operation of jaw crusher to prevent accidents.
- Cone Crusher: Cone crushers are usually the secondary or tertiary crusher of gold crushing plant. They are effective in further reducing the size of gold-bearing rocks and ores that have been crushed by the primary crusher.
- Gyratory Crusher: A gyratory crusher is similar to a cone crusher. But they are usually larger and more powerful. Gyratory crusher is also suitable for use as secondary or tertiary crushers in gold mining plants.
- Impact Crusher: Impact crushers use high-speed impact to break rocks and ores. Sometimes we use them in gold mining operations, but not as commonly as jaw crushers, cone crushers and gyratory crushers.
How to choose gold crusher?
It’s important to note that crusher is only one part of the gold mining process. After crushing the gold ore, we must process it further to separate the gold from other minerals. We can use a variety of methods for subsequent processing, such as gravity separation, flotation and leaching.
